What is the SAT Aviation Explorers program?
A City of San Antonio Aviation Department community-based program dedicated to engaging San Antonio Youth and community stakeholders while we deliver an introductory aviation experience that opens doors of opportunity for the NEXT Generation of aviation and aerospace professionals.

Scholarships for teenagers to earn certifications and licenses, network with the pros, and log up to fifteen flight hours.
Aviation Youth Program Opportunities
Aim High Flight Academy
The Aim High Flight Academy (AHFA) is an aviation scholarship for a three-week introductory flight program at various universities across the world. The mission of the AHFA is to inform, influence, and inspire the next generation of aviators and leaders.
After completion of the AHFA, students will understand the pathways to becoming an Air Force officer, or aviator, and earn up to 15 flight hours. AHFA pairs high school students, USAFA, and AFROTC cadets with current Air Force members who provide mentorship about the various aviation professions and career fields.
