Terminal A Expansion
Completed and open as of March 2026
Improvements made to the existing Terminal A at San Antonio International Airport have been completed, marking the first project delivered under ELEVATE/SAT. This expansion includes:
- Three new ground gates, and Integrated Federal Inspection Stations for international arrivals (customs)
- Two levels of passenger seating areas and three new hold rooms with over 200 seats per room to accommodate passengers
- Dedicated charging stations for personal electronic devices, plus dedicated workstations, high top tables, and a lactation room
- Additional concession and retail options, as well as an outdoor patio
These improvements ease congestion and add capacity to existing infrastructure, supporting passengers until the new Terminal C is completed and fully operational.
