San Antonio Airport

Terminal C

Status: In Progress

Project Overview

The most conspicuous addition to SAT will be the new Terminal C. While it has stirred lots of excitement for the prospect of new gates alone, there is much more to the development that will provide a completely new, enhanced experience for the passenger, and a focal point for regional growth.

The new Terminal C at SAT will feature up to 18 domestic and international gates by mid-2028. A focal point of ELEVATE/SAT, Terminal C will expand air service within the region.

New amenities and features at Terminal C will include:

  • 850,000+ sq. ft of new terminal space, with 41,000 sq. ft of new concessions
  • 29,000 sq. ft club lounge
  • New central passenger screening area and Federal Inspection Station for expanded international service
  • Larger gate hold rooms to enhance passenger comfort
  • Riparian Paseo entry and indoor courtyard to enhance sense of place and promote a River Walk feel
  • Roadway improvements to improve traffic flow and reduce congestion

The construction of the new terminal is part of the Terminal Development Program (TDP), the cornerstone of Elevate/SAT, which will help guide future development of the airfield, terminal facilities, ground access, and support infrastructure over the next 20 years.
